Christmas!

We hope everyone had as wonderful a Christmas as Nick, Kaelan, and I did.  We spent Christmas Eve with my parents and grandmother then we spent Christmas day with Nick's family.  Fun was had by all and Kaelan got to meet his second Great Grandmother, Nane.

Photo Session before church... he was SO good during the service.

Santa in the Park

Last night our neighborhood hosted "Santa in the Park" with pictures with Santa, food, cookies, hot cocoa, etc.  Kaelan's pediatrician advised us against taking him to the mall for Santa photos this year.  Even being the germaphobe that I am, I never thought about how germy those santa suits must be!  Kaelan has a few more weeks before he gets his shots and with it being cold & flu season we thought better safe than sorry.  However, the doctor did say we could hold him and stand next to Santa.  Santa in the Park seemed like a great idea!  Here are a few photos from the event.

Beautiful Baby...

So it has been awhile since I've posted... I must admit Kaelan keeps me busier than I thought possible!!

It's nice being home with him, but it definitely is difficult.  I'm so happy I have Nick to help before and after work.  He is an amazing husband and father.

Time for bed, more photos to come! :)

We're Home!

Well, we made it back from the hospital in one piece and our 6-day-old baby is still alive! :)  We had a small jaundice scare on Friday but after a blood test at the hospital and a check-up with the pediatrician, everything is fine and Kaelan's levels are healthy.

We had our first good night of sleep last night... Kaelan didn't wake up once and we had to wake HIM up for his feedings.  I think he might be sleeping in his bouncer for a few weeks until he decides the bassinet is okay!!

I'll hopefully have photos uploaded soon!!

Nursery Photos

Here are a few photos of the nursery... we've since hung up the valance and cleaned things up a bit.  It is officially ready for Kaelan!

Baby on the Way!

Well, I should have named the blog "thanksgivingbaby" rather than "christmasbaby."  I'm sure everyone knows by now I'm being induced.  Our Sagittarius baby should arrive sometime on November 29th.  He is already estimated around 7lbs 11oz... I'm hoping he doesn't come out any bigger than that!

I've been pretty tired lately... luckily Nickolas is helping out more than usual.  Today I napped on the couch and watched college football off and on while he cleaned the bathroom and organized our closet.  How in the world did I get so lucky?!  He's going to be such a great daddy, I can't wait to see him with Kaelan.

I'm going to try and post pictures of the baby's room and of course will post photos of Kaelan himself once he is here.  I'll try to be better about posting in general too. :)  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  Ours was great, it is always good to see family and eat good food AND watch the Aggies BTHO t.u.!

My next post, I'll be a mommy! Ahhhhh!!!! :)

Welcome to Kaelan's Blog!

I decided to start this blog for a few reasons... I wanted to create something where our friends and family who won't have the opportunity to see Kaelan each day could receive updates, view photos, and stay in touch with what is going on in the Marcelle household.  I also did not want my Facebook page turning into Kaelan central... so we'll see how this goes! :)
