October!

October has been a great month so far - the weather has been nice and we've had a good mix of being busy, but having time to rest as well.  We went to the pumpkin patch today (finally!) but I'll have to upload those photos later.  Kaelan is a barrel of fun right now... he is tentatively "cruising" from one toy, to the coffee table, and down the coffee table to his daddy sitting on the couch.  He is pulling up on everything, feeding himself more and more each week (he's still lazy though and prefers for one of us to feed him), tried his first bottle of cow's milk today, and has 6 teeth - four on top and two on bottom.  Oh, and he LOVES the dishwasher.  He's a few days shy of being 11 months old... I can't believe I'll soon have a one-year-old little boy... he already looks like a little boy, not a baby any longer.

Camille's last Homecoming was two weekends ago - Lord do I feel old.  She was only 8 when I started dating Nick and now here she is, 18 and a Senior in High School.  Here are few photos of the occasion, as well as some random photos of Kaelan from the month.  I'll upload pumpkin patch photos soon!

Pretty Camille!

Being Silly

It's never good when the house is quiet... I went to investigate and found him here... quite proud of himself too!  The one morning I didn't put up the baby gate.

He finally discovered "his" cabinet and had fun beating things on the tile.

Veggies are funny!

Kaelan's sitter, Paula, taught him how to clap!

Videos, Videos, & More Videos

It's been a little while since I've posted a video... so here are four for your viewing pleasure ;)

Kaelan looooooves his walker that his Great-Gamma bought him.  He has taken to running around the house with his arms outstretched ramming into things. His favorite is the animal's water bowl in the kitchen - it's nice and shiny.  He also likes to grab all the dish towels off the oven or dishwasher handle and he enjoys chasing Sully.  Essentially, he loves to wreak havoc wherever he goes.

We have started the bad habit of letting Kaelan play with the light pulls.  He has a ball and squeals with delight when the lights turn on and off.  The video below is the last minute or two of about a 5 minute session of him just turning the lights on and off.  Over and over and over and.. you get the point.

Trying to get him used to footballs, given that he'll be the A&M quarterback one day.  We still have a lot to work on - his favorite part is when you drop the football.  ;)  That's not okay, but no worries... Daddy will teach him the ways of the game.

This is a random, very long, video of us playing with Kaelan in our room about 2 weeks ago.  He is regularly pulling up on the baby gate now (and anything else he can pull up on!!) but we weren't able to get a video of it this time.  The video is 5 minutes long, so beware.

9 Month Pictures

We took Kaelan to Target again to have some 9 month pictures done... we had an Aggie theme and also took fall pictures in his Halloween costume.  He did his typical cry and laugh routine, but we got some great shots.  Can't wait for the pictures to come in!

Beach Trip!

Wayyyy back in August we took Kaelan to Galveston for the day.  My cousin Sherrie was in town visiting her good friends Patsy and Tyler and they graciously invited us down too.  I suspect it had more to do with seeing Kaelan than seeing us, but oh well. ;) Kaelan had a BLAST.  I thought for sure he'd have a meltdown over the heat or being tired, but he wanted nothing more than to dig his hands into the sand and let the waves wash over his legs.  He was PERFECT and once we were back at the beach house, he took quite a long nap.  I can't wait to take him again!  Here are quite a few pictures from that day... everyone knows I have a hard time picking just a few. :)

Decked out in his beach gear

Ready to have some fun!

With his Aunt Sherrie

First family photo at the beach!

First dip in the ocean... he was a little unsure at first

But he totally warmed up to it!

He kept smacking his hands down and laughing... he was thoroughly enjoying himself by now!

Take a break from the sun to eat, play, and hang out in his tent

Playing in the sand

He would have done this for hours - and had I not been concerned about the sun, I would have let him.

One more break from the sun!

Havin' fun with Daddy

Silly baby! :)
